The 12th District deserves a Congressman who mirrors its values of hard work, fairness and honesty.
I came to Belleville 42 years ago on the G.I. Bill. I know what it feels like to sweat on an assembly line and to worry about the future. I have worked hard and have been blessed with success but I’m no stranger to the struggles that families throughout the district experience every day.
As Adjutant General of the Illinois National Guard, I fought to save levees in Southern Illinois. I fought to build bases. I have fought to preserve jobs. Now, I want to fight for Southern Illinois in the halls of Congress in Washington, D.C.
I believe I am the most qualified candidate to represent the 12th District and to achieve success for the District. On issues that are important to you – jobs and small businesses, infrastructure, national security, Medicare, Social Security – I have the credentials and experience to move the district forward.
Southern Illinois has all the potential anyone could want – a beautiful landscape, natural resources, interstate highways and smart, skilled workers. We need a Congressman who can tout these benefits nationally and who will work to bring much-needed jobs to the district, the garden spot of Illinois.
